An erectile dysfunction natural treatment that does not require medication, surgery, or external intervention?
The findings of a clinical study conducted at the Somerset Nuffield Hospital, Tauton, England in 2005 seem to suggest there really is a natural cure for erectile dysfunction. Practicing a simple pelvic muscle exercise, several minutes a day, can help men once again achieve and maintain an erection.
Fifty five men, ranging in age from 20 to 59 years old, who had experienced ED for six months or more, were divided into two groups. Both groups were asked to make changes in their personal lifestyle.
These changes included getting into shape, giving up smoking, losing weight, cutting back on alcohol, and avoiding bicycle saddle pressure. All changes were designed to improve their general physical health.
One group, however, in addition to the lifestyle changes, was also instructed to practice, a simple pelvic muscle exercise,
called a Kegel. It required tightening, or tensing the muscles normally used to stop the flow of urine, or withhold the escaping of gas from the bowels.
Little did they realize they had discovered a natural cure for erectile dysfunction.
The pelvic floor exercises were taught by a highly skilled physiotherapist, Dr. Grace Dorey. She instructed the men to tighten their pelvic floor muscles as firmly as possible.
After three months, the group who had simply made lifestyle changes, saw no improvement. The men who implemented the
pelvic exercises as well, had improved dramatically.
The "lifestyle only" group was then asked to include the Kegel exercises in their regimen as well.

In total, after six months, 40 percent of all the men regained normal erectile function, 35.5 percent had shown significant
improvement and only 24.5 percent said they felt no improvement at all. Amongst those who experienced no improvement were men
who suffered from cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, diabetes, and excessive alchohol intake.
Dr. Grace Dorey remarked, "the results show clearly that pelvic floor exercises can be highly beneficial for those men with the motivation and determination to perform them. I am intending to raise awareness of an effective alternative to drug therapy for men experiencing erectile dysfunction."
How To Contract The Pelvic Floor Muscles
The first thing to do is to correctly identify the muscles that need to be exercised.
Here are two methods you can use to identify the correct muscles and bring about a natural cure for erectile dysfunction.
1. While you are urinating, try to stop the flow of urine. If you can do that you have located the right muscles.
2. Imagine you are trying to stop the passing of gas from your bowels. Squeeze the muscles you would use.
If you sense a "pulling" or contraction, in either of these two exercises, those are the right muscles for pelvic exercises.
Should you be in doubt consult your doctor or physiotherapist.
Don't squeeze other muscles at the same time. Be careful not to tighten your stomach, legs, or other muscles.
Just squeeze the pelvic muscle. Don't hold your breath. The men in this study squeezed for 5 to 10 seconds, then slowly relaxed.
Try to repeat the exercise about 10 - 15 times, two to three times a day.
At first, find a quiet spot to practice, your bathroom or bedroom, so you can concentrate.
You can do these exercises while lying down, sitting, or standing up. Ideally, using all three positions makes the muscles strongest.
Begin easy. Pull in the pelvic muscles and hold for a count of
three. Then relax for a count of three. Gradually work up to 10 to 15 repeats each time you exercise.
Be patient. Don't give up. It's just 5 minutes, three times a day. Remember, our goal is to find a natural cure for erectile dysfunction. Stay focused on your objective.
